After the fabulous update on Crymod.com this week, we receive another fabulous update notice, thats right folks Crysis Wars patch 1.4 AND the updated Mod SDK and Sandbox2 Editor will be released. The Crysis Wars Mod SDK will be released on Friday at 19:00 CET! You can find all of the details over at Crymod.

The time has finally come for us to release the Mod SDK and Sandbox2 Editor for Crysis Wars later this week. It will be made available at the same time as Crysis Wars Patch 1.4. In order to get the Mod SDK working properly you must have patch 1.4 for Crysis Wars installed, since it comes with the ingame mod support and other important changes to the game.

In order to keep the community focused on just one modding area based upon the same engine version, we decided to make the AI in Crysis Wars available again to allow singleplayer levels to work and concentrate on supporting this game with editor and SDK. Together with most of the assets from Warhead which are included in Patch 1.4 we are confident that the community will benefit the most out of it by keeping singleplayer and multiplayer modding and level creation to one game.

I hope we don't get picked up by Reuters for posting this news article! But the United States Air Force has crashed into Snow Mountain! Using the Crysis Sandbox Editor we have staged a major plane crash into Snow Mountain using the Flowgraph editor. I will be posting a video of the crash sometime in the future. You will never guess what happened and why! And you won't believe who was hanging off of the wing when the big air bus came down. Enjoy the screenshot and checkout our Media Gallery for the latest in materials from our mod developments.

There is certainly a good deal of news to report. First of all I'd like to thank everyone that has contacted us regarding their support for our mod. Considering that we haven't done any official advertising, we have seen our guest numbers increase and many of you have already joined our Newsletter! Our first official Newsletter won't be sent out until we have something really awesome to show the community. I plan not to inundate people with boring ass Newsletters and cluttering your Inbox with spam!

Anyways, first up, and most importantly. You will notice some changes made concerning the requirements of our mod. We might be making history here folks as being the first PC Game modification to require not one game to be installed but two! Transformers Crank Shaft will require installation of both Transformers The Game and Crysis.

Secondly, we would like to proudly thank our sponsor MekTek.net for announcing their support for our modification to the Mechwarrior community at large. We are very happy to have MekTek.net as a sponsor for this modification. Thanks to the crew at MekTek!

Crytek has announced some details on their next in engine tech CryENGINE 3!

While visiting the CryMod Forums I happened upon a WIP project which seemed rather unique and really demonstrates the amount of graphics capability Crysis is truely capable of. If you are interested in checking out the screens then head over to CryMod's Forums and check out the amazing screens of this WIP screen play.

We are very pleased to officially announce Transformers Crank Shaft to the world.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to drive onto the battlefield in your very own car? Think it would be cool to not only trick your car out with the latest performance equipment but also the latest in human and alien artillery? Sounds cool, right? Well, racing around in your car on the battlefield can be very dangerous, but not when you are joined by our friends the Autobots, battling the evil Decepticons. We are very pleased to announce the official startup of our Transformers Crank Shaft modification (see: http://www.transformerscs.com). This project and sponsor(s) are not affiliated with TRANSFORMERS, Hasbro, Activision, or Paramount. TRANSFORMERS and all logos, item names, etcetera, are copyrights of respective owners and are being used here on a purely for-fun, not-for-profit basis. The creator(s) and sponsor(s) of this modification strictly adhere to Activision’s end-user license agreement and to the privilege of the creation of NEW GAME MATERIALS for TRANSFORMERS THE GAME in combination with the use of third party materials including CRYSIS and the Sandbox Editor.

Please see the following Press Release PDF for more details.

We are rather pleased to show off some very early alpha video footage of our first map Snow Mountain. Based on Crysis Ice Map we have been working on the idea of this map featuring elements which would favor both foot combat as well as vehicle combat. Of course we will be replacing most of Crysis stock assets in the future. Certainly the area seen in this clip would favor some foot action. We are also considering what vehicles would be best suited for a map like this. Certainly snow mobiles, ATVs, and small tanks would be fun on this map. Thanks for visiting and stay tuned for much more!
